Foi assassinada, na noite deste sábado (28), Regina Cotrim, viúva do ex-Deputado Maurício Cotrim. O Crime ocorreu na Avenida Presidente Getúlio Vargas, Bairro Monte Castelo, em Teixeira de Freitas. Segundo informações de testemunhas, a vítima teria jantado em companhia de suas duas filhas na Pizzaria Lofty e seguiam em direção ao automóvel estacionado a cerca de 100 metros do restaurante, quando foi abordada por um homem que se encontrava parado na esquina e que teria perguntado se ela era a senhora Regina. Diante da resposta positiva, ele teria falado “prazer”, sacado a arma e deflagrado cinco tiros contra a vítima, sendo quatro na cabeça e um no tórax. Regina morreu no local, enquanto o homem saiu andando, atravessou a Avenida e entrou em um carro preto que o estava esperando.
